Objectives: Building AI Competence for the Future

Our goal is to empower VET institutions and their instructors with the tools and knowledge necessary to offer comprehensive AI training. This training is specifically designed for SME employees, aiming to equip them with the skills needed to leverage AI applications within their operations. By doing so, we are not only enhancing the attractiveness and innovation of VET but also ensuring it meets the needs of today’s labour market. This initiative is set to bolster the capabilities of both VET institutions and SMEs across Europe, making them more skilled and competitive.

Implementation: A Strategic Approach to AI Mastery

To bring our vision to life, we are embarking on a journey that begins with extensive research into AI applications for SMEs. This research lays the groundwork for developing a holistic concept that includes 10 detailed factsheets and two comprehensive curricula, complete with learning and teaching materials. Our approach encompasses the evaluation of all activities to ensure effectiveness and relevance.

The project will see the pilot testing of educational courses, engaging over 60 participants from six European countries. Through broad dissemination, tailored implementation advice, and a significant European multiplier event, we aim to ensure the visibility, sustainability, and successful transfer of the project and its outcomes.

Results: A New Horizon for SMEs

Anticipated results of the AI for SMEs project include a thorough analysis of the needs, challenges, and benefits associated with AI in SMEs. We will develop an actionable implementation concept for SMEs on AI applications, supplemented by 10 factsheets. Additionally, our comprehensive train-the-trainer course will feature a curriculum, learning materials, and an evaluation report. We are also excited to offer a continuous education program on AI implementations, tailored specifically to the requirements of SMEs.
