AI for SMEs Practical Training for Business: “How AI is Transforming Advertising”
Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts in partnership with Vilniaus kolegija – University of Applied Sciences on April 15 organized a practical training session for Lithuanian SMEs and marketing specialists aiming to plan and implement advertising campaigns more effectively using artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
The event brought together around 40 representatives from business and academia, who deepened their knowledge of AI applications in advertising, explored the latest trends, and practically tested various content creation tools.
Participants were introduced to the activities of Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, its international projects, and collaboration opportunities with its members. The cooperation between Vilniaus kolegija and HEROES European University Alliance was also discussed.
Joana Lapkovskaja, Head of the Service to Society and Community Department at Vilniaus kolegija, emphasized the importance of such collaboration: “We are active members of Vilnius Chamber, and since 2025 we have also been operating as partners in the European Universities Alliance HEROES that aims to strengthen smart regional resilience of people, business, and nature by providing high-quality professional education to students and lifelong learners, promoting practice-oriented research, and fostering cooperation among various stakeholders. We are pleased to be part of such high-level synergy that consistently connects businesses in an international context and purposefully contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of Lithuania and the EU”.
The practical AI training was led by Tomas Sakro, the alumnus of Vilniaus kolegija and head of MB „Sakro“. Since 2016, he has been developing video production and post-production activities (videoagency.lt), and since 2022, he has been teaching on platforms such as tobulėk.info and edON, focusing on animation, video editing, and the application of AI technologies.
During the training, the lecturer provided an in-depth overview of the role of AI in modern advertising—from content generation to campaign optimization. Participants were introduced to practical AI tools that enable faster creation of visual and textual content, testing of advertising ideas, and better understanding of target audiences.
The hands-on part of the training attracted significant interest, allowing participants to try out AI solutions themselves and evaluate their applicability in daily marketing activities.
“Thank you for a great event—it was truly valuable and inspiring. I came to learn about the latest AI trends in advertising, and my expectations were fully met: I gained practical insights that I am already applying. I have even ‘employed’ my son and his friend to create AI video content to increase awareness of our product—water absorbers—and after the training, I got even more ideas. We need more practical training like this,” said Redžinaldas Mickaus, head of Greenlab Solutions.
Meanwhile, Jolanta Lunevičienė, head of AVENUEART, highlighted a critical perspective on AI application: “It was a very interesting session that once again drew attention to tools that will likely become as common as other IT solutions. The result depends on human creativity and the ability to use AI tools effectively. However, AI also raises many controversial questions—from cost-efficiency in content creation to copyright and content legality. Among my clients are international companies that fundamentally prohibit the use of AI tools in creating advertising content for their products—it is a conscious business decision to avoid misleading consumers. In Lithuania, this topic still remains in a grey area, and it would be very interesting to discuss it further with copyright experts and legal professionals.”
The training was organized implementing the AIforSMEs project that aims to strengthen SMEs’ readiness to implement AI technologies and increase their competitiveness. „We highly believe that such events not only enhance business competencies but also encourage broader discussions on the responsible and strategic use of AI in marketing“, said Deimantė Vilčinskaitė, project manager at Vilnius CCIC.
We thank all participants for their active engagement, discussions, and shared insights, and a sincere thank you to the lecturer Tomas Sakro for this interactive training, his practical advice, and shared AI tool resources, including the AI news platform Future Tools – AI Tool Database.
More trainings on AI topics are planned – follow Vilnius CCIC calendar: Renginiai – Vilniaus prekybos, pramonės ir amatų rūmai.
