Vilnus to Host Mayor AI Training Initiative for European Business Educators

From 23 to 25 September 2025, an EU-wide train-the-trainer seminar will take place in Vilnius as part of AI for SMEs. The aim is to prepare trainers and consultants for AI support for SMEs. Based on the implementation concept and fact sheets of the project, participants will receive practical training so that they can then pass on their knowledge to small businesses across Europe.

AI Chatbots Transform Customer Service in European Small Businesses

More and more European SMEs are using AI chatbots in customer service – with great success: according to AI for SMEs, customer satisfaction and efficiency are improving noticeably. Chatbots answer up to 80% of enquiries automatically, thereby reducing the workload on staff. A new fact sheet from the project shows in practical terms how small businesses can easily use this technology.

The Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the AI4SMEs seminar Digital Marketing ROI Decoded, equipping SMEs with AI-driven strategies to optimize marketing performance. Experts shared insights on ROI measurement, customer acquisition costs, and campaign effectiveness, helping businesses enhance competitiveness in the digital economy.

New AI Implementation Tools for SMEs Released: Groundbreaking Research and Practical Guides

The EU project AI for SMEs supports small businesses with a free practical package on AI use, including a guide, a research report and ten simple fact sheets on applications such as chatbots and sales forecasts. The aim is to make it easier for SMEs without much prior knowledge to get started with AI and strengthen their competitiveness.

European SMEs Face AI Adoption Challenges: New Research Reveals Opportunities and Barriers

The EU project AI for SMEs shows that only 6.4% of small businesses in Europe use AI, with the figure as low as 2.2% in some parts of Eastern Europe. The main reasons for this are a lack of funds and IT expertise. A new support package with practical guidelines and fact sheets is designed to help SMEs use AI in a simple and concrete way – for example in sales, customer service and process optimisation.

Kick-off meeting

On January 18, we launched our 𝐀𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬 project, focused on developing an AI concept, factsheets, and training programs for VET providers and SMEs. The team is eager to build essential AI skills, ensuring that SMEs and VET providers stay up-to-date.
